Im 20wks pregnant. Im using "ROSKEN - Dry Skin Cream" to rub on my tummy. Is it safe during pregnancy?

While I have no idea whether this could penetrate the skin sufficiently to enter your bloodstream, butylhydroxybenzoate (found in that product) has been investigated for use as a contraceptive ( http://www.popline.org/docs/0942/071067.... ) , so I would suggest you err on the side of caution and not use this.

A lot of skin creams these days contain potent chemicals for use as 'skin whiteners' or 'firming agents', etc., and since they're only applied topically (to the skin), they aren't tested for side effects as rigorously as other drugs. It's a bit paranoid, but if you want to be cautious about these things while you are pregnant, best to stick to a simple product with no ingredients you can't pronounce! All you really need for a good moisturiser is water, glycerin and vitamin E.
