Is Titaniumdioxide cause canser if it was as ingredents in skin cream?
Titanium Dioxide is used in several ways such as paint, food, and cosmetics. Several studies have been conducted and had concluded that it isn't a carcinogen [cancer-causing], mutagen, toxin, nor comedogen.

However, it was decided that the cytotoxicity [danger to the cell] depended on the particle size of the titanium dioxide.

It is known that titanium dioxide is used in sunscreens to absorb UV rays. But if the particles are too small [nanoparticles], it can penetrate the cell causing photocatalysis and damage the DNA after exposure to sunlight. It could cause cancer.

However, coarse or fine particles are safe at deflecting and absorbing UV light.

Avoid using products with micronized mineral pigments, either in sunscreens or color cosmetics.
Reply:Everything artificial is bad in one way or another for you. I would be more worried about the stuff in your deodorant and the parabens in everything. Throw all that junk out and get some Burt's Bees hygiene products-- they're about as natural as you can get and still stay in an affordable price range.
